Have been to Jake's quite a lot of times, everytime it gives me different kind of feelings. Most of them good, some bad...But have never really think the ribs are the best. I personally think Toni Roma Sunway Pyramid serves better ribs.
However, much credit to Jake's as they've been serving good ribs over the years. Good, but not the best. I would say it's consistently decent.
The last time I went was mid 2008. Still the same, the tables are arranged very closely to each other to allow the constant crowd to eat in. This time, instead of the ribs, i try out the sirloin steak. The Australian steak was RM168 (if not mistaken), so I've opted for the cheaper USA steak which cost me RM88.
It was served with delightful potato wedges, and salad are of we all expected - boiled to perfection. However, my medium done steak was not handled well, at some point i thought it was too oily. And most of the part were not chewable for it being too old and many of the vein or artery or harden oil (whatever you call it) is still hard. So, this is a dissapointing one, especially for the price tag it carries. |
