| Back to basics
Ironically, there's a certain negative connotation to healthy eating. Many restaurants have tried and failed at beating the stereotype of healthy = not tasty.
Is Yogitree any different? Promoting its fresh, minimally processed and organic food, I would personally have never chosen the place. Obviously though, some/one of my ex-uni mates must be the rare few that buy into this organic food concept, cos here we are.
Seeing as there were so many of us, we obviously had our fair share of the menu. I believe we sampled something from every section of the menu, including the mushroom tartlet appetiser, a tomato based pasta with chicken, salmon with steamed vegetables, grilled chicken sandwich, seafood paella, beef noodles, lamb shank, etc etc (i can't remember).
Most of it looked really appetising and tasted pretty good. Personally, I really liked the bread on my sandwich.. but the filling was so-so.
The pesto pasta with mushroom however... please refer to the picture. In their defence, it tastes better than it looks.
Had some of the dessert as well - apple crumble with ice cream, tiramisu, chocolate cake. Nothing to shout about. |
