| Best Durian Puree Ever~
I was pleasantly surprised that Hong People actually go for Durian. I was introduced this place by a local friend who knew about my soft spot for desserts.
The deco was quaint, nice ambience with dimmed out lights. But as like anywhere in HK, the space was small. I was there at night, the place was packed. Everyone was sitting too close to each other.
The Menu was way too overwhelming that I had no idea where to start. We had the popular stuff that...
Top on the List was :
1. Durian Puree (aka Fragrant Durian in chinese) "Liu Lian Piao Xiang"
This is a MUST TRY. You haven't been here if you ain't had this. The thick flavourful Puree is to die for~
2. "Yang Zhi Gan Lu" and a dessert
Normal, like anyone we could get here.
3. The third was like fried/crispy pastry with mango in it and covered in icing.
This was quite good as the cripsy outer layer complemented the soft insides very well. Somehow they managed to make it warm on the outside, like it was fried or somehing. *SeDAP*
4. "Dun Le" Double Boiled Pear with white fungus
Normal.
Everytime I think of HK now, I think of this shop. I went back in the afternoon and it was quite empty. Very nice to have a little more personal space, just me & my dessert!~ |
